WesGold LLC , a partnership between West Philadelphia Financial Services Institution and The Goldenberg Group, awarded scholarships to two deserving high school seniors at the Renaissance Festival on Saturday June 7,2014. The ParkWest Town Center Scholarship Awards were each in the amount of $1,250 and these students were chosen amongst many entries. To qualify they needed to attend or live in the target area, be a high school senior, have been accepted or registered to an institution to further their education and show a commitment to their community.
The recipients were Syerra McCrobie-McFadden and Nyshae Wimberley, both graduated from Mastery Charter School. Syerra will be attending Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania in the fall, and Nyshae will be attending Temple University in the fall.
